Since 1985 Luk van der Hallen and his friend and colleague Luc Vanlessen, both designers and professors from the Media & Design Academy, Genk (B) started to organise design workshops for students and teachers. The success of the first ones was the start for the partnerschools and -colleagues to organise the workshop in their own countries at the most exotic places.

The seventeen workshops have gained an almost mythical reputation for creative surprises, mental boosts and mindblowing experiences.

So far 24 designacademies and universities were participant.
